Miss Conception films (MCF) was established in 2015 by Georgina Conder and Ainsley Gardiner to support first and second time female feature filmmakers to bring an authentic female voice into New Zealand filmmaking both in front and behind the camera.

In recent years our ethos has evolved as has our desire to amplify all marginalised voices on screen through film and TV. We continue to support and collaborate with these communities through producing high quality screen productions whilst ensuring the communities are represented and supported as filmmakers behind the scenes as well.

 

In July 2024 Ainsley Gardiner departed MCF to start a new role as Head of Funding at the New Zealand Film Commission. Georgina remains focused on the work that they started together having loved their time working together at MCF. She wishes Ainsley all the best as she starts a new chapter.
